South Australian Doll & Teddy Bear Show

Time has past so quickly, to think it was in 2002 that I was last involved in organising a convention. Along with my daughter Kylie we are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2008 Convention.

Adelaide, the city of churches is where we will be hosting our 2008 convention. Adelaide city is the hustle and bustle of many shoppers but never before will it have so many Doll and Bear enthusiasts, which will make Adelaide a very special place to be. At previous conventions, we have had a wonderful range of lecturers and 2008 is no exception. It promises to be just as exciting with experts from both overseas and interstate who are keen to share their vast knowledge and experience with us.

DIANNA EFFNER - well known Sculptress and Doll Artist from the USA, her many dolls have given doll people all over the world endless pleasure and her creations go on. She will lecture on Modern Dolls.

ANKIE DAANEN - A Dutch Artist who travels the world teaching and lecturing her work. Latest work featured in Doll/Bears Collectibles Vol 14 No1.

DOROTHY McGONAGLE - She is an internationally recognised author, lecturer, consultant, photographer, collector, dealer and appraiser in the field of Antique Dolls.

SUE JOHNSON - Began dolls 1980, worked for Ceramic Hobbies for 12 years implementing Modern Dolls, Australasia Director of the Bellisimo Teaching Programme, winner of numerous doll awards.

In addition to our exciting programme of lectures and workshops we will be having a Welcome Lunch on Friday, followed by our Antiqe Doll/Bear and Related Items Auction, Awards Dinner, Breakfast, Sunday Evening Happy Hour, Doll and Teddy Bear Show and Exhibition. There will also be a huge Trading Room bulging with doll and bear related items.

We would like to stress that this convention is not affiliated with any ceramic or porcelain firm or business or in any way product orientated.

Kylie and I very much look forward to seeing you again and to meeting old and new friends. The weekend is definitely one not to be missed as there is just so much going on.
